Howdy, partners!

Neither heat nor humidity nor blazing sun kept the work crew of St.Mark's Catholic Church from erecting the third and fourth walls of our Church Coalition Build last Saturday. This Saturday the goal for Independence First Presbyterian will be to complete the interior walls and build the front porch, in preparation for setting trusses during Labor Day weekend.

I'll send a couple photos of our progress (in separate attachments to prevent server overload).  If you have a chance to drop by to see for yourself, you'll be blessed. Thanks to each and all for your many contributions.

Hi, friends.

The work crew of Lee's Summit First Presbyterian defied incredible heat and humidity to erect the first two exterior walls of the Church Coalition Build (photo attached) on August 4th. Great job!

But next Saturday should help us get back on track, as St. Mark's again faces into the "dog days of August" in hopes of erecting the remaining two exterior walls. The latest forecast includes 60 per cent chance of Saturday showers, so maybe we'll be blessed with a cool down. At any rate, just wanted to update you on the latest, and urge your continued prayerful support.

Blessings always. Jim

Dear partners,

"Earth shaking " might be a bit strong to describe the latest developments, but "earth moving" would not. If you've not driven by the site lately you might want to. A large hole in the earth and an equally large mound of earth behind attest to the fact that a foundation will soon follow.

Now that we've moved earth, we're hoping that the heavens will also cooperate with good weather and that all the needed concrete work can be in place and cured for our first build day, set for Saturday, July 21.

No project of this magnitude is achieved without setbacks and difficulties, so we ask your continued prayers and our united focus on the goal of building a home with Mark, Brandon, and Anthony. That's what it's all about. THANK YOU for being part of a miracle under construction!
