BLUEPRINT FOR A SUCCESSFUL HOMEBUILDING WORKDAY |

At Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity we recognize that a successful day at the construction site requires a commitment of resources and labor by the Habitat Affiliate, the homeowner family and lots of volunteer workers. Although each work day is unique based on the stage of construction, our combined expertise and of course, the weather, here are a few important things to keep in mind:

No Experience Required! We love training new volunteers but if you have some special area of expertise or interest let us know and we'll try to match people with projects. A skilled Habitat Construction Supervisor will be on-site to oversee construction, organize tasks and train volunteers.

Tools are Provided! Habitat provides all tools and equipment needed at the jobsite. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, tool belt, hammer etc. you are welcome to bring them. (For volunteer safety, no nail guns please!)

Dress Appropriately! You will be more comfortable and avoid injury by wearing old clothing, closed toe shoes like sneakers or boots and dressing in layers. If it's sunny – bring a hat and sunscreen.
